Email Diary moments .... Week 1
Well it is 2:00am and I am waiting for the clothes to dry so that we can leave for the plane at 7am. Ahhhh the beauty of 4 hours sleep! Got to love missions. Thank you all for your amazing words of encouragement. It took God 2 days this time before I was kneeling on the (toilet) floor crying before our Father. It is great. God is doing awesome things and I feel so amazingly-overwhelmingly blessed to be a part of it all. So first week -- has been great. The got through customs ... and all arrived safely. They were wiped out for the first two days where we ministered at 8 schools (2nd day of the trip we split them up ...already). As the week progressed and their jetlag disappeared, they got more excited. We have ministered to over 6 500 kids already. Tonight was the Youth Alive rally and over 4500 kids came. They had to turn away 600 kids. AWESOME!!! 1500 of those came directly from the schools we ministered in just in the past week. God is so great. So now we go to Hillsong where the guys are opening the conference of 30000delegates, running workshops and doing everything under the sun. The schedule looks great and they are all excited about being there. On a personal I am tired, overwhelmed and thankful -already. This week has been crazy ... I have been broken, had some fun and had a serious "NuG missions trip" reality check. This is not summer camp or a little fun ... it is full on. The pressure of managing the trip is quite huge and God is so faithful. Things are coming together well but there are some hard calls I have to make in the next week. Which leads me to prayer points.
Can you please pray for:- GUIDANCE for me knowing how to approach everyone involved when asking for changes or flexibility.- THE LOCAL KIDS - every week this will be the same ... just need to lift the people who will see the ministry ... that God will use these guys to be His hands, His loving arms - to draw God's children back to Him.- REST/STRENGTH - for the guys and for me!!- FAVOUR - with the airlines -- we are overweight and have 10 flights to catch and I would love to get through every one without any hassles OR FINES Okay now it is really late... washing is done. Thank you SOOOOO MUCH for your life saving prayers. I love you all. Katie Tired and excited ... it is going to just get better each day.
