GT06 - Wk 6 - Brisbane

The other team - they said "strong side".

Brisbane had some challenges as soon as they stepped off the plane. But as Sydney did, the Brisbane team banned together and showed a new found strength as they ministered more schools than ever before.

Lamare lead the team with his quiet strength and equip his team members as he did. Ali, Jarod, Kennith, Miya and Denielle all stepped out of their comfort zones and took the lead. Again, an incredible thing to witness the transformation of the team from supporters to leaders!

I felt like a proud parent or a coach of a winning team this week. The Gents and Flames are incredible individuals and I am blessed to have been a tiny part of thier awesome lives.

We all got to Sydney airport to meet the other team. Thankfully a kind airport manager let the Gent on the plane who had forgotten his greencard. So everyone got on the flight to LA and I went home. Genesis Tour 2006 was over and my time with the ministry was done.

GT06 - Wk 6 - Sydney

The SPLIT - this is the week we have been preparing for the entire tour. The leaders were ready after leading individual ministry engagements without Lamont.
Jamie lead the first day as he always did - with humour and assurance. A badly timed cold meant that Rashawn and Sirece took over the ministry leadership and THEY TOO WERE GREAT.
There were many things that could (and some did) go wrong with the split week but what became clear was the internal strength of the team. EVERY LEADER pulled out their inner strength and gave more than ever before. The team put the little things aside and showed great unity and support of the each other.
I was so blessed to witness these great moments. This is the Genesis tour - and this week showed a new strength in the ministry - new beginning.
What an incredible journey I have witnessed over the last 5 years. The leaders that, not only held it all together but showed a new strength and direction in the ministry, were so young on the Hope tour. I feel like I have seen the full circle. What a rare gift.
I also had the pleasure of having a host family that wasen't an old friend. New friendships and some beautiful times of blessing each other. It was lovely.

GT06 - Wk 5 - Perth

Perth Ahh Perth. I don't know how to sum up what was an intense week full of challenges, great ministry, team healing and powerful worship with a great guest who few thousands of miles just to bless the team.

What was evident is that the spiritual battle was intense hence the ministry was even more so. Some beautiful friendships were forged and we have some great stories. Close to 1000 kids committed their lives to Christ at the 2 rallies - Awesome.

Personally, it was a week where God reminded me that HE IS SOVERIGN ... in spite of all things, despite my personal strength, abilities, or lack of them, He doesn't need me and yet He choses to use me. Awesome.
